Better Birth Workshop 2008
The Better Birth Workshop will be held November 15th, 2008 from 9-4 in the Alumni and Georgian Rooms, and in the second floor lounge
at Truman State University. The Workshop is being co-sponsored by Truman's Women's Resource Center.
The all-day event is FREE to the public.

- BOLD Red Tent (all day). A safe place for mothers to share their birth stories through spoken

Survey Results and Maternity Care Providers' Round Table
- Birth Circle of Kirksville will present our results from our local Birth Survey.
- A Maternity Care Providers' Round Table will immediately follow. Local maternity care providers will be answering questions
about increasing transparency in maternity care, improving local maternity care, and other questions related to our survey results.
- The Round Table will be moderated by A.T. Still University's Future OB/GYN group.

A brief overview of the History of Infant Massage and the International Association of Infant Massage Program and explanation of the parent and baby courses offered. We will cover the benefits of massage for the infant, the parents, the entire family, and for society in general. Participants will be informed of the latest Touch and Massage Research as well as Contraindications for Infant Massage.

- The important first week of life-getting breastfeeding
going well. Presentation covers several critical factors that often get overlooked, feeding schedules, and hospital routines. Questions welcome at the end of session.
